3 NEW PROJECTS

As promised I have some new cards to upload today. I made 3 projects last night. I am referring to them as projects because not all of them are cards! lol! Here is the first one. It was supposed to be for STV's Sketch Challenge this week but I was too late! Oh well....it's still a cute card. I am calling it:

LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER

Here is a peak of the inside sentiment. Can't you just imagine the wind in your hair and the salt air tickling your nose when you look at the little sail boat??!!

The next card is for the current STV Colour Challenge. Unfortunately, my memory failed me last night and the blue I was thinking I was matching to is not so close after all. I guess I am going to have to start taking my laptop up to my card room when the colour challenges are an image like this one was. I am pretty darn pleased with the card though. Let's see what you all think. This one I call:

WISDOM WALK

For this one I have used a Gina K Designs flower stamp from A YEAR IN FLOWERS. I decided to use some scraps I had left over from other cards for this one. Once I decided on the cs it all just came together. This is a mish mash of different sketches I have used and seen. I don't believe I have used this particular set up before. I am particularly proud of the way the buttons look on the little ribbon hinges. There are some dew drops of Diamond Glaze on the flower as well, but they are rather difficult to see. Here is a shot of the card from a different angle.

Finally, here is a shot of the inside of the card. As always I have finished the inside. The sentiment for this card is not from Gina K, however. It is a sentiment I recently purchased from Whipper Snapper Designs. It is called WISDOM WALK and it really speaks to me. I hope it resonates in your mind as well. As you can see I used the same dp on the inside as out and I have added a bow. I just love the little cluster of buttons on this one. Hope you all like it as much as I do.

The final project is a POST-IT NOTE HOLDER. I call it:

YUMMY ICE CREAM

Isn't this just so cute?! This is the first post - it note holder I have ever made but I am thinking it will not be my last. I am already thinking about making a slew of these for my girlfriends for Christmas!! I am also going to figure out a way to add a pen/pencil holder to them as well. I will post them once I have figured out what I am going to do. Now let me tell you a little bit about this project. It was easy peasy to do, so if you are thinking it's difficult; it's not. I used two layers of cs for this one to keep it good and rigid. The other thing I did is to add a tuck in flap for the bottom flap to slide into in order to keep the holder shut when not in use. The samples I have seen use a flap or a magnet to hold them shut. I decided when I was gluing the inside layer to the outside to leave an inch without glue to slide the bottom flap into. It works like a charm. The image on the holder is a Gina K image from Gina K's new FREE WITH THREE SET. Doesn't the ice cream look just so yummy!! I added Diamond Glaze to the bowl and spoon to give them a little more oomph. I also used the Diamond Glaze as an adhesive to hold the image in place and unfortunately that is why there is a little glaze at the top of the ice cream. I finished the front with a pretty lavender bow. Now, here is a picture of the inside showing off the POST IT NOTE pad I chose to use for this project. Here is HAPPY BUNNY!! He makes me laugh out loud in an empty room!!! LOL!! Enjoy!

MOJO90 MOJO MONDAY HOUSE MOUSE

Here is my finished Mojo Monday Challenge card. I used an image of House Mouse that I coloured way back in January!! Imagine!! I have a whole drawer full of images I coloured ever so long ago. The funny thing is the images are all coloured in pencil crayon because that's all I had at the time. I have since spent a small fortune on markers - Prisma Colour, Bic's & Sharpies. I did not go into COPICS because the cost; well frankly it scared me!! ***insert shocked faced smiley here***

As you can see I have used some more of my lace curtain as the background on this one and a little bit of it on the inside too. I also used some to embellish the flower a bit. I made her shoes, necklace and eye all shiny with Diamond Glaze. That is why the card wasn't uploaded last night...had to wait for it to dry. Thankfully it's always worth the wait!!

I free styled my sewing on the inside of the card and really happy with the way it turned out. The inside sentiment is from Stamping Bella. I think my hubby is starting to wonder if that machine he bought me will ever be used for anything but cards! Hmmmmmmmmmmm...good question!! LOL!

I suspect it will be getting a work out on fabric soon enough. I need to make new kitchen curtains and new curtains for the boyo's room. Fabric shopping here I come!! I am hoping to get my fingers inky this afternoon attacking the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge of the week. Its SCARY!! Holy Samholey's!! Thanks for stopping by.
