I did it! I sewed a card! I can't begin to explain to you how HUGE this is! I have owned a brand new sewing machine for YEARS and it was still in its original packaging with the factory seal in tact!! I have a thing about sewing machines. They either love me or hate me! This one apparently loves me!! LOL! Either that or its just so grateful to be out of the box it would dare not work well!! LOL!! The kitty is from a Michael's Delta stamp I picked up on my last trip to Grand Forks, ND. The hearts, flowers and sentiment are from my Just So Hippy Gina K stamp set. This set is really versatile. I love that I can use bits and pieces of it on my projects! The Frame is from the Dollar store and was actually /$ !!! I added Diamond Glaze to the flowers and hearts to add some dimension and the kitty is paper pieced. I have a pic of the kitty lower down that will show you in detail where I paper pieced Mr. Kitty. Oh! The sketch for this card is from theMIDNIGHT SKETCH CHALLENGE!!
Without further ado here is my first sewn card!!
Here are some pics of the inside! I sewed the inside too! I also added a couple of the Just So Hippy flowers on the inside and another kitty that has been stamped on the dp and then raised on dimensionals to make him pop. The flowers on the other side of the card are from...you guessed it..the Dollar Store!! LOL!!
Here is the close up the kitty for you to see up close the paper piecing I did with him! You can clearly see that his head, tail and the butterfly have been paper pieced. I can tell you his tail was not a piece of cake!! I was terrified I would make him a bob cat!! LOL!!
